PROGRAM DIRECTOR: Juan G. Ochoa M.D

Dr. Ochoa is Professor of Neurology and Epilepsy Program Director at the University of South Alabama since 2010. He served for 10 years as the EEG Lab Director at the Neuroscience Institute,  and the Clerkship Director of Neurology at the University of Florida.  Dr. Ochoa made his Neurology Residence at State University of New York and he received his Fellow in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  He also has a fellowship in Medical Education at the University of Florida. 

He has been committed to improve medical education and has been awarded recognition as  EXEMPLARY TEACHER several times by the college of Medicine at the University of Florida. Dr. Ochoa has a vast experience in development and delivery of online education. 

Dr. Ochoa is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Epilepsy society and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
